FUTURE FORUM by BMW Welt: Smart Energy - The Need for Intelligent Energy Grids

Clean and Renewable Energies.

Inhalte:

What does smart networking mean in the energy sector? Energy suppliers and network operators are facing major challenges. With the energy transition, the power supply and its network management are also becoming more digital and complex. In the future, we will have to integrate energy production from decentralized plants into our energy system. In order to optimally coordinate generation, distribution, storage and consumption and to ensure the stability of the grid, all stakeholders in the so-called smart grid will be connected with each other. IT and energy networks will grow together in such a way that all networks can be coordinated in a self-organized manner right down to generation and consumer systems (Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie, 2020). In the last session under the topic of renewable energies, we will ask energy suppliers and grid operators how they master these challenges and how they want to coordinate the self-organized grids.

Speaker:
Nikolaus Röttger, Author und Moderator (Gastgeber)
Dr. Christian Feißt, Gründer und CEO von GreenCom Networks
Prof. Jens Strüker: Professor of Information Systems and Digital Energy Management, University of Bayreuth
