Electromobility: The Key to Environmentally-friendly Mobility
In light of global warming and the consequent implementation of CO2 emission regulations, the challenge to shape the transport sector in an environmentally-friendly way needs to be tackled. Electro-mobility can contribute greatly to reducing the environmental damage of the transport sector, and it is a central element in achieving mobility that is both climate- and environmentally-friendly. In this webinar, we will provide insights on the CO2 footprints of various powertrains. In doing so, we will also highlight the life cycle of a vehicle and its energy consumption globally. Furthermore, we will address the question of mobility patterns and which powertrains are best suited for different vehicle usage models.
Speakers:
Dr. Jury Witschnig, Head of Sustainability Strategy Products and Production, BMW Group
Prof. Dr. Martin Wietschel, Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI, Profile region: High Performance Center for Mobility Research Karlsruhe
